When solo artist Roxx Revolt met The Velvets, lightning struck and started a fire. From those raging flames and embers, Roxx Revolt & The Velvets was officially born. With metal maestro Dan Heath on bass, a wizard on the guitar — Jake Shockley — and raging percussion by Chris Campo, the group tied up a mix of influences that have allowed them to sound nostalgic and brand new all at the same time. Each member’s individuality has molded RR&TV into what is nothing less than a supernova of glam rock, classic rock and roll and riotous punk. The group’s energy itself is where power and glamour meet. Being heavily influenced by groups like the Rolling Stones, Iggy and the Stooges, T.Rex, the Clash, Black Sabbath, and David Bowie, they roll their own way by creating a mix of genres they define as “glammy-punk and roll.” Roxx Revolt and The Velvets just finished recording a full feature length album named “Turn your head this way”, a compilation of 13 brand new songs expected to be launched by the end of 2021, with their new material the group stays committed to create music that is truly authentic and not overly derivative of any one band or genre, promising their audience an utterly refreshing feel made to be enjoyed by nostalgic crowds but also a new generation of rockers.
