Richard Webb, better known as Richie Loop, exploded onto the world stage in February 2010 with the release of his smash hit single My Cupp.The song that was released on the Scikron/Big Yard label transformed the behind the scenes writer/producer into a household name in the Caribbean, Africa and the Middle East.
Always wanting to push the envelope with his creative mind, Richie Loop began experimenting with EDM long before Jamaicans started to embrace the genre.In 2011 he created the Fusion Riddim, an EDM -inspired riddim that featured artistes like Future Fambo, Iceman, Sanjay, Ray-ta, Red Fox and ZJ Liquid. Despite his interest in EDM however, at the time Jamaican disc jockeys were not so receptive.
Since the start of 2016 Richie Loop has collaborated with other EDM producers including Henry Fong, Jinco, Daniel Kapler, Yinon Yahel, Kalibandulu, Retrohandz, and Ackee Juice. The quality of hiswork and his subsequent burgeoning reputation has also caught the interest of labels Dim Mak, Doner Music, and Big Fish for whom he has released a number of singles that have caught the ears of a more global audience.
In 2017 Richieloop collaborated first time with superstar DJ Hardwell and in 2018 he has featured a new Hardwell track, a collaboration with Tujamo & Salvatore Ganacci as well as Henrgy Fong. Richie has been busy at the studio and his energetic live presence is something you don’t want to miss.
