Today, Bay Ledges debuted his sophomore album Rivers. Ledges took to social media to explain the meaning and origins of this album, sharing that: “I made Rivers mostly between July 2022 and February 2024. I wanted to make an album about my cousin Harrison but after failed attempts at writing those songs, I decided to let go of direction and just make something I liked. Making music has always felt like a mysterious thing. Spiritual. Like you don’t choose the songs, they choose you”.

Rivers proves to be a deeply personal and emotive project for Ledges that will no doubt resonate with listeners everywhere. Ledges also shared that his home studio in Maine, in which he recorded this album, faced a river. He would envision “songs flowing through it [the river]” and between recording sessions he’d “take long walks beside the river” and watched the river change throughout the seasons. Thus, the river greatly inspired his album title and songwriting process. Take a listen today to be transported to the river that inspired this project:
