This past Friday Bay Ledges dropped his new track called “Early 90s”, which proves to be one of Ledges most meaningful songs yet. In his own words, Bay Ledges shares that, “this song makes me think about my early adolescence. I think about my family then. Vacations together, time in the ocean. Becoming more aware of a deeper bond”. Ultimately, Ledges wanted to create a track that could stir up a similar sense of nostalgia for listeners all over too.
Ledges also shares that this song was also heavily inspired by his bond with his cousin, Harrison. Ledges writes that, “He [Harrison] was on the autism spectrum… When he liked something you knew he meant it… and when he didn’t, you knew he meant that too. He was a huge fan of my music going back to the first songs I ever wrote…Music was our connection”. Harrison passed in July of 2022 but Ledges notes that Harrison still is the glue in his family even after his passing.
